Well, the soil composition isn't really as homogenous as needed, but well, it's something you can't really avoid: where are you going to find such a huge circle with the same ground composition for all of the circuit?

Yes, and within a convenient distance of a multi TeV collider to start it up, of course. That reduces the number of locations even more.
