Now just a fill or two away from crossing 4fb-1.

Another thing I just noticed is that the Dashboard screen has a frame with time scale controls at the bottom. Very handy for a quick summary at a glance of how up to a week went.

Site statistics ist verboten.

And even more stuff I'm just noticing now, if you click on a pane say orbit feedback it goes full screen. Cool! Only works from home screen which is a slightly compressed 6 hour screen.

And Congratulations to LHCb for passing the 1 fb-1 milestone.

And an interesting tidbit from latest news.

It looked fascinating to watch, although there was no hint in the daily meeting 10/15/2011 made public if it was successful or not. More to come, I can imagine

ATLAS and CMS are both over 5fb-1 now.

Amazing, a inverse femtobarn in a couple of weeks !

Delivered luminosity, not recorded yet. But they'll make it in a week unless they have a big problem.

For those who don't know already, 5 fb-1 represents around 350 trillion proton-proton collisions (3.5x10+14). In that lot we might reasonably expect to have recorded around 100 million W's and Z's, maybe a million top events and perhaps 20-30,000 higgs (if it exists!). Talk about looking for a piece of straw in a haystack ....

Ummm, straw tends to be quite easy to find in a haystack ;) But I know what you mean, thanks very much for the info.

Thanks

I see from the Cryo status page that they've started cooling the arc magnets.

However, the lhcportal Progress link still points to last year's "latest news". Is there something like that for this year?
