A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky, dangerous animals, and you know it - Agent K

You hear one doomsday prediction, you hear them all

Will give this a read.
Anyone who doesn't take truth seriously in small matters cannot be trusted with large ones either by Albert Einstein.

Hmm..
Has anyone considered that the signals emitted by LHC *might* show up in a parallel Universe as some sort of micro blitzar-like phenomena?
A current theory of mine is that the Wow! signal was in fact an event of this type, produced by a parallel Earth using their version of the Superconducting Supercollider as it wasn't cancelled due to the Gulf War in 1991 not occuring or some other POD.

No, I can't see any reason in pursuing ideas that there is absolutely no evidence for.

Interestingly, some evidence suggests that gravity can indeed leak across the interdimensional barrier so there is a small chance that sufficiently energetic events (ie a supernova) could manifest as some sort of instability as the gravitational field would spike significantly.

IIRC the ekpyrotic hypothesis is one such model but the evidence for this is circumstantial at best.
