Interesting article.

"Making particles out of energy ..." - is like making solitons (single waves) in water by causing a disturbance ... 1 wave at a time is proven to be okay, just like low frequency cosmic rays; but a high frequency machine that generates 10^9 as much waves at a time is asking for trouble ... the frequency and density is just too high to be safe ... there's no reference for it in the universe not even supernovae because they are like an atom bomb turning matter into energy, a whole different story.

Cheers,

Chelle

Hey Chelle, how you been?, sorry I haven't been on here lately

I've really stopped caring whether or not the LHC will destroy the world, if it does I just hope the end comes quick

I'm alright, the usual two steps forward one step back ... slowly moving on.
sorry I haven't been on here lately
Apology accpeted

Sounds like spirits are low ... anyway the life of a human does always end relatively quick: max ~10^2 years vs. the age of the Universe 13.798 x 10^9 years

The ratio is comparable between the frequency and density of the LHC vs. Cosmic rays btw.

I wouldn't like to see the end coming too quick ...

cheers,

chelle

as long it's painless, I don't have low spirits, I've just stopped caring
