Well..... older in-line images are not working... ( sigh ) I went back to my original backup and something is getting botched in the restore back on the old version of phpbb...

Im going to go post on phpbb about it. 69 inline images are not working. Ones I like, all of Dr Dark Energy's wacky fun random images are not there anymore. And they really added to his posts.. So I really want to get those back.

So I wont need to go back to a backup. So no lost posts..

However.. I am goign to be playing with the board. So the style might change randomly as you flip thru pages, hahaha. Im gonna go and try and color this theme.

BTW can't you fit in those 'missing' images manually by yourself. 15 min. of work and it's done.

So I went back to a backup and no luck. There was something wrong in the backup and it did not assoc the files and the posts they go to.. I am posting at phpbb about this. The good news, we wont loose any posts from the last few days.

Ok I have the style thing sorted out and you can pick your own style. Ive defaulted the board to LighterPortal".. But Black Portal is even darker.. Ive added EVERY available style, including Rain Forest, to the available styles you can pick from here ucp.php?i=165

Im still looking into the lost inline images.

Im going to see if I can move this from PHP 5.5 to PHP 7.0 or 7.1.. Ive been told how to do it, so I will try..This will cause disruption.. Sorry...

And there we go.... We are now on state of the art PHP 7.1 and using mysqli..

So we are now cutting edge all the way around on the forum...

While im still working on the lost inline images I feel complete now in my quest. I moved the hosting and portal to a new host. I upgraded the forum to the most recent version. I got the styles all sorted out. I moved us to PHP 7.1 and got onto MYSQLi.. I have also moved the registrar to Network Solutions but that does not complete until sunday, but I dont expect any real issues. I also increased upload image size max to 7MB. I modded a style and we have our own brownish dark style. Ive added every style known to man for PHPBB 3.2 to pick from.

Inline imgaes are all back where they should be... All is well..

So at this point I am going to claim success in the move/transfer/upgrade..

The last thing to occur will happen sunday 7/9.. The domain will change to Network Solutions as registrar. Then this is complete. I will leave this post up on global until thats done.
