The LHC has suffered very bad luck over the past three weeks with regard to the failure of the PS and a fried weasel. Can anyone think of other incidents similar to these that have brought the LHC to a halt for a few weeks in the past?

Other examples of bad luck?
Re: Other examples of bad luck?
The 2008 magnet incident brought it to a halt for a year, and lowered its energy for further 6 years.
The magnets of one ring segment needed more training than expected to reach 6.5 TeV, leading to some delay in 2015 (but hard to quantify as it happened together with other activities).
If everything would work exactly as planned, the plans would not be ambitious enough.

My personal "favorite" is this incident that happend in November 2009. Not much delay, but a good story;
