Where's the link to LHC morning meeting documentation?

The place to discuss the LHC. Commissioning, operation, issues, events ....

I think we'll get an answer if someone asks BE-OP. The chairman seems the best bet.

Yes, Indico support have come back to me and confessed that they had muddled two similar requests for documentation access and as is stated here these Morning Meeting minutes are indeed not owned by LHCb but are in the category "Home » Departments » BE » Groups » OP » LHC » LHC morning meetings". They also confirmed that as stated above, "... the access to this category has been restricted by its managers to the CERN members (persons who have a primary CERN account)".

A very regrettable change after all this time of being able to view such interesting summaries.

Regards,
Richard

P.S. I carefully checked this forum and found no reports of access problems before making my enquiry of Indico over the weekend. Monday being a holiday in Europe as well as in the UK, I didn't get a response until first thing this morning - hence my belated posting.

Or some other LHCb category.
I don't know how to check which right you need to access the morning meeting category (all it tells me is "access is restricted but you can see it"), but you don't have to be member of lhcb-general to see it.

Looks like all that's needed is a primary CERN account. Goodbye morning meetings, it was nice knowing you...

That is really unfortunate they restricted the morning meetings like that. It was a great resource to keep up with LHC operations. I can only hope it's temporary and that they lower the restrictions, it will be very hard to find out what is going on with out being able to view the indco pages.

It is probably because they are going to start doing some shady things.

You should contact your local government who funds CERN to ask why they are making these meetings privy, because that whasn't in the deal.

Are you laughing because your country's government is shady as well? What country are you from?

Did someone write a mail to one of the two responsible persons?

I've just remembered when the morning meetings section became unavailable. It was just before machine checkout during the powering tests. On the same day they also made the LBOC meetings restricted as well as another section called LHC-MC Wiki.
All can be found at http://lhc-beam-operation-committee.web ... committee/. mfb see if you can access those. Chairman's email is there too for anyone daring enough to ask why MMs have been restricted.

So I guess you have a primary CERN account?

I'm working for one of the LHC experiments.

YES! Yes I am!

I'm probably one of the last 'activists' convinced that the LHC is trouble!

So I am keeping an eye on everything and poking where it is needed!

Where have you been Charms? Long time no see!
