HOWDY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well include me in the outsiders. Its fun to watch CERN work live. Amazing systems being built, run and used by impressive professionals.

Re: howdy
HI,
Just a brief introduction ... I am a retired physicist with an education in particle physics. However, the last machine that I worked on was the Cyclotron (21 inch dees) at the University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA, USA. I see that things are a bit bigger now. I was lured away by the world of computing and have spent over 45 years in the field; both education (University Level) and private industry (where the money was). I will mostly be an observer as my credentials are a bit obsolete.
