Just wanted to say hi and thanks for your efforts on collating all this information. It's a wonderful hub for us outsiders!

All the best

Well include me in the outsiders. Its fun to watch CERN work live. Amazing systems being built, run and used by impressive professionals.

HI,

Just a brief introduction ... I am a retired physicist with an education in particle physics. However, the last machine that I worked on was the Cyclotron (21 inch dees) at the University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA, USA. I see that things are a bit bigger now. I was lured away by the world of computing and have spent over 45 years in the field; both education (University Level) and private industry (where the money was). I will mostly be an observer as my credentials are a bit obsolete.

Wow... Cool.... So how long ago was your Cyclotron work ?

I LOVE older technology. It a hobby in fact. I restore vintage test equipment..
