Current status is that they are trying to set up everything to do some serious physics, but the last few days everything seems to cooperate against them: all kinds of different mechanical parts of different things seem to break, and just this morning there was a glitch on the electrical grid.
Especially the cryo is frustrating if something breaks, since it takes hours to come back up.
But they manage to make progress regardless.

Hey Tau 2 why don't you post this at the 'Accelerator' section of the forum ...

btw sad to hear that there are problems, makes me think of all the people at CERN waiting for the machine to start running and produce results ... sad faces behind a rainy window ... what do they actually do the whole day when there's no data coming in ... play ping pong perhaps?
