Re: Several biggest errors of particle physicists.
If one looks back through these 39 pages of postings you will see that many people have said that he is wrong. Some by telling him that his concepts are "pulled from his anal orafice", some by trying to reason with him (all to no avail), some by trying to prove his mathematics are flawed (also to no...

Re: Several biggest errors of particle physicists.
Given Ivan’s fanatic belief in his “flim-flam” theories along with his state of mind that he is the expert of all experts in the entire world … nothing will ever convince him that he is wrong. Not even when the LHC collides at 7 TeV for a 1000 seconds Not even for an hour Not even for a day Not even...

Better over for we all saw what happened, given what existed then, when it was under protetive.

Re: Several biggest errors of particle physicists.
Ivan wrote: Huge field transforms “just a collection” into a domain of “ferromagnetic vacuum”. Topology is unknown. It is possible we will have here a closed short dimensions. My analysis of your words: You are assuming the existance of a "ferromagnetic vacuum"; you admit topology is unknown; plus y...

Re: Several biggest errors of particle physicists.
Ivan I'm having a problem with your definition of "strange matter consists of (uds)" An (uds) particle is a "pair" of spin separated particles ... Lamda with spin of 1/2 and Sigma with a spin of 3/2. If you are implying that "strange matter" is just a collection of some ups some downs and some stran...

Re: Several biggest errors of particle physicists.
Ivan likes to point to other documents, some legitimate and some as crazy as his ideas, and claim that they prove his theories. It is miss-direction, sleight-of hand, and by your question of: (“although it’s still not clear why he chose to associate them with magnetic dipole” ) tells me that you are...

Re: Several biggest errors of particle physicists.
The last three paragraphs (starting with "Magnetic hole is ..." are not in any way related the the preeceding equations. His conclusions in these three paragraphs, including all numbers, have been 'pulled completely out of "thin air' and are just a product of his warped imagination for the equations...

Had not seen his post but ... does this mean that I am beginning to think like him?
If so, let me throw myself into the nearest magnetic hole!

For any anomaly discovered by the LHC, Ivan will stand up and shout that his theory predicted this result.

Re: 2010 Startup
A few days ago it went 1/3 red; the fact that some of the red has gone to yellow is an improvement from yesterday and the day before.
In the world of particle physics 3 days ago can become very ancient history.

Re: 2010 Startup
Magnet temps are improving; that is, going down.
See: LHC/Field/ Then click "Display Cryo Athorization" button to turn it into "Display Field Overview" and we have some yellow and only a few red.

March_Hare Note the Op Vistars/Status Op graph has 2 separate scales; one on the right measuring "Energy(Tev)" and one on the left measuring "Intensity." From what I remember seeing in the last set of runs before shut-down, the Gray line went with the right scale and the red&blue lines went with the...

Re: How good is 7 TeV
FermiLab's Tevatron in the United States, now the second most powerful accelerator, operates at about 1 TeV.
