Re: Neutrinos go faster then light !

Thank you all for your comments. The advantage to this method is that there is nothing complex about it like moving clocks. (I.e. how fast you moved the clock) and it can be monitor for a couple of days. The communication infrastructure should be willing to set this up for a few days just for the go...

Re: Neutrinos go faster then light !

There is an easy way to tell if the two clock are in sync. Yuo need to construct a dark fiper between the two ends. The path is not important. You inject a laser pulse at a know local time at one end and measure the recieve time at the other end. You then repeat in the other direction. The delay sho...

Re: A question about the luminosity

The number on the plot is for total of all IPs. The CM only number can be read from the plot. You also have to be careful with dates. The papers do not reference the last fill number a data point I think should be in all papers.

Standard Model (Theoretical Particle Physics) (6/6) This lecture could be called what we do not know. It makes a case for the Higgs and then present some other unanswered problems with the SM. Recommendation: Interesting. Detectors Dr. Werner Riegler (2/5) In this lecture Dr. Riegler talks about the...

Re: Problems with lower emittance and higher intensities?

Yes this plot problem common with many COT and standard plot packages that want to plot drawing a line between points. This is not at all how a strip chart works. For Shuttle program we have special plotter code to handle this. For those using COTS programs we provide missing point retrieval software.

Concepts in Particle Physics (4/5) This lecture is about Physic beyond the standard model. It is much more conceptual then the other lectures (understandable by a wider audience). This lecture focus on the decay of the Proton and it requirement to add an SU(5) term to the standard model. The importan...

Re: Summer Schooll 2011

Concepts in Particle Physics (3/5) The lecture presents the mathematics behind the Standard model. It is probably the most intense lecture of any of the summer lecture I have viewed. If you can fellow it does a good job of explaining the development of the gauge theory. I seem that some introduction...
