Good question, was going to ask this too but you beat me to it. Especially yesterday's and today's Page 1 views showed a much more rapid decay of intensity in one beam.

the higgs however could show it's self at lower energy properties (is it lower i cant remember). Yup. As far as I understand, according to some theoretical points of view even Tevatron *might* find a "Higgs" because their energy is about at the bottom level of where Higgs bosons could manifest them...

Muttvette, reading between the lines I am getting the impression that you think that LHC is some kind of black-hole / worm-hole factory? Or that it has a "secret purpose" to make one?
