My frakking jaw.

Let us start at the beginning (for it is a very good place to start). I like singing. I also like dancing. Occasionally, I combine the two. One such incident happened about 5 years ago when I was involved in a production of Cole Porter's Kiss Me Kate. During the opening number of the dress rehearsal...

Re: What are you reading ?

Working my way through Jasper Fforde, classic Asimov (clasimov), Iain M. Banks (who signed my book), and Neil Gaiman (who signed my cheek). And, of course, the Fora.

Re: Predicting lottery number spread using neural networks

I see where you're coming from, but my idea is not to find an underlying system to the numbers. What I want to do is find the probabilities of certain spreads of numbers. I'm finding it hard to illustrate this in words, so I might draw up a diagram tonight.

Predicting lottery number spread using neural networks

Hey guys. I had this idea a few days ago. I was talking to someone about lottery odds, and it came to pass that we got to discussing how to win by using statistics. My idea is this: say you buy 200 tickets. If you get the spread of numbers in each ticket right, you stand a very good chance of making...

Re: Can black holes grow?

So, black holes. Can they grow? Here is the definitive answer from an ex-physicist. A black hole is what's called a singularity. A singularity is essentially a point; it has no measurable length in the 3 normal spatial dimensions. What it does have is an event horizon. This is the edge that is essen...

Blargh!

Hullo there. I have come to eat your brains. All your brains. Tasty, tasty brains.

My name's TwoPointOh (my parents had a cruel sense of humour), and I'm mainly a lurker on IRC. But lo! I have been swayed by the ways of the fora!
