Re: Several biggest errors of particle physicists.

Why Hollywood? From his way of combining scinece and fiction and maybe also from his nationality he reminds me of my favourite writer: Isaac Asimov :think:

Re: Several biggest errors of particle physicists.

@Shadowdraxx: their explaination is that the cosmic particles are very fast and the moon and the earth are rather at rest, so if black holes are created they have a momentum, will disappear in space and starve. Since the LHC produces headoncollisions of protons with aproximately the same speed the m...

Re: CERN Cows and strong magnets

If the presence of hte satellite might have influenced the orintation of the cows the presence of a human spectator might have as well or even more. But this question comes cloes to quantum physics, where it is consense that certain properties of a system are just not specified as long as nobody or ...

Re: Several biggest errors of particle physicists.

Even if Phaeton is a theory an not a novel, the comet of emmylou and Orion surely is and even there is no visible border between this and your so called facts or scinetiffic theories.

@Beast:

If the end of the Earth is stated in so many ancient texts of so many religions and civilisations, how you dare to belive that your words might be able to prevent it from happening? Are you the son of god or something like that?

Re: Several biggest errors of particle physicists.

@magnetictrap:

your text mixes fiction and supposed to be science without clear distiction, so it even may be all fiction.

Or can you state any reasonable source for your story about Phaeton?

Will they switch it off completely leave it warm up und still have enough time to cool it down again before Feb 20th or will they kepp the temperature at some lets say "standby level" for example at the temp of liquid nitrogen (at least in an old ...
