Re: The Fermi Paradox — Where Are All The Aliens?

I've heard of that and I'm not worried, I have a theory, they can't understand any of our languages https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wdJvFMAbPF8 You have a theory from Bill Nye, well he's a sales guy selling 'science' and of course telling us to invest more in science and space exploration ... there...

I guess it's a matter of logic. Not all skeptics are Doom Preachers, but all Doom Preachers are skeptics. I went for the latter. so you're a skeptic then? ... and a Preacher of Doom. http://img4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20080807190241/marveldatabase/images/thumb/b/b6/DrStrangeSS62.jpg/300px...

Re: interesting article

The part of setting the Atmosphere on fire was interesting, but the biggest different danger from a nuclear explosion is the black rain / fall out. The Atom-bomb was pretty impressive, but it wasn't like the first big implosion. There's a long list of large explosions ... just to get an idea scale-...

Re: The Fermi Paradox — Where Are All The Aliens?

Here's a cool video explaining the Fermi Paradox, one idea fit's right in with very smart people doing something stupid: https://youtu.be/sNhhvQGsMEc?t=4m20s "This new devise will solve all of our problems once we push this button." I've heard of that and I'm not worried, I have a theory, they can'...

Re: The CERN safety study

Read an interesting statement regarding the difference between the LHC and ultra-high energy cosmic rays: "You need to be a bit careful when comparing cosmic rays to colliders. The LHC collides _two_ high energy beams head on; the total energy available in the collision is equal to the sum of the b...

Dear DarkDaniel, dear people No bogus at all about the 1`148 TeV, LHCsafetyreviev is serious and so its papers. Please search 1.15 PeV, which is 1`150 TeV (more exactly is 1`148 TeV) here: https://cds.cern.ch/record/1129806/files/jinst8_08_s08001.pdf Usually, only the energy per nucleon is mentione...

If somebody writes: Genesis 2.0 is true. The rest are whitewash and lies. Than that is the moment to start doing else. Don't waste your time reading further on. Are you serious? She was quoting from the 'The Genesis 2.0 Project'-article from in Vanity Fair : http://www.vanityfair.com/news/2010/01/h...
