Where's the link to LHC morning meeting documentation?

Does anyone know the link for the daily LHC morning meeting documentation?

Cheers,

Re: Getting closer to startup

Beam commissioning is delayed by a little over 2 months, starting in early March 2015:

LS1 - First Long shutdown

On schedule so far for injectors turned on in mid 2014, beams at 13Tev in Jan 2015:

How successful were the 25ns studies?

Does anyone know how successful the 25ns studies were and what was learned?

Thanks in advance,

Re: Any videos of accelerator collisions as they happen?

There's something that resembles your description at about 1:10 of this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGeW6Nc6IMQ and most likely the flashes in there are either real photographic flashes from taking snapshots of particle trails in bubble chamber, or cherenkov radiation which is just a bypr...

This clip is from the Equinox documentary Simply Complex aired in the UK in 2000.

Pre-2008 predicted timeline of LHC performance?

well, as the LHC comes to the end of its running for the long two year shut-down, I think we can all agree that it has been a huge success, right? 1. 125Gev Higgs discovered 2. Expected SUSY models ruled out. 3. Over 25/fb of data recorded for Atlas and CMS for theorists for the next two years. 4. E...

Any videos of accelerator collisions as they happen?

Does anyone know of any videos of accelerator collisions as they happen? I remember watching a video about Gell-Mann called Strange beauty, and there was a fragment which showed collisions taking place in an accelerator, giving rise to a localised bright spark, and accompanying loud noise. Regards, ...

Re: 1.7 x10^11 PPB?

@andrewp You could run the machine so that it's kept in stable beams for as long as possible and therefore approach 100% of time in stable beams, but it wouldn't be efficient because of the fall in intensity of the beam. The fastest turn around between beams has been 2.25 hours, and the beam half li...

Re: 1.7 x10^11 PPB?

I pop in from time to time to see how it's all going, and of late have been a little disappointed with machine utilisation. Admittedly, some days have Physics going up to 70% of the time, but many days are like today with Physics being done less than 50% of the time. I think the theoretical limit i...

1.7 x10^11 PPB?

Fill 3034 is filling with 1.7 x10^11 PPB compared to the supposed max of 1.6x10^11 at the start of the year. Anyone know if they're using special techniques that enable them to do this? I was under the impression that losses at squeeze and adjust are not fully understood yet, hence the max luminosit...

Beautiful beams

After weeks of tweaking, the LHC team produced beautiful looking beams with minimal loss:

What are the differences between the two beams?

Are there any differences between the two proton beams such as different colliding bunches, or are they supposedly identical?

Re: How is the quality of the beam being currently improved?

Fill #2861 looks perfect - how did they do it?

I'm sure the morning notes will have a lot more to say about this one.

How is the quality of the beam being currently improved?

The LHC is operating at a PPB of 1.45x10^11 compared to 1.525x10^11 before the last technical stop, so they're obviously tweaking the beam injection in someway, possibly after gaining a better understanding of what's causing the losses during the 2m squeeze. Anyone know what they're looking at, or d...
