Re: Sanchos claims - Any merit whatsoever?

I must admit that Sancho managed to scare me today again, when I accidentally entered his website and saw his various articles.

Does anyone have information regarding his past failed predictions or about his mental state? I want to learn to disregard his fear mongering crap once and for all.

Re: Tale of the tape

I read your quote - the reasonable conclusion does not change. Even if some of the energy gets lost, 5,000,000,000 years of much more energetic collisions is enough time for the moon to be destroyed or turned into strangelets soup. Besides - what is the specific disaster scenario you are concerned a...

Re: Lead collisions !

The heavy ion experiment has bothering me for the past several months. But the guys have addressed every single concern I had, so my fear is not rational. Have you seen Sancho's latest fear mongering article? http://www.cerntruth.com/?p=125 It scared the **** out of me when someone showed me that. I...

Congratulations to us!

My personal anniversary is November 23rd. My original intent was to write a single post about my frustration.

The moon is not protected by an atmosphere, therefore the arguments remains valid.

Thanks for the reassuring response. I'm much more calm now.

I believe you are referring to this announcement?

Re: LHC to shut down for a whole year

On Nov 5th they stop proton physics and switch to heavy Ion physics. Then on 6th Dec they close down for the winter until February. There will be meetings in Evian and Chamonix to thrash out a plan for next year. Do you know when a definite date for the heavy ion collisions would be available? Beca...

Quark Gluon Plasma

Hi everyone, Does anyone know whether QGP is being produced by cosmic rays or not? Because tonight on chat, I was told it was limited to ultra high energy cosmic rays, at best. Under the assumption the previous statement is true, how come the LHC remains analogous to cosmic rays? By logic, shouldn't...

Works for me. Especially considering the fact he hasn't changed his predictions since March.

The LHC is not going to create WIMPs, Ivan.

Re: Black Holes HERE (In The Earth)

Luis Sancho's website is hardly a reliable source, oyar.
Besides, "big Earth changes"? This phrase reminds me of the phrases 2012 doomsday opponents use.

Re: 2012 The end of the world?

Astrogeek, I'm very pleased to see you here. 2012 caused me a severe anxiety for almost a year, but then I found your website. After several months of reading it over and over again and mentally reassuring myself, this specific doomsday prediction completely stopped bothering me (not entirely calm r...
