Sound = transmission of pressure through the structure of the material
Heat = motion of atoms due to energy

Re: Why is our universe so complicated?

The reason is that we've expressed our understanding of the universe through the wrong basis, and when we get the basis correct it will not appear so complicated. And yet so many things work and we can predict so much. What is the "correct" basis for understanding the universe? Any who accept that ...

And nobody is surprised when Ivan posts something with no physical grounding whatsoever.........

Any fool can write random equations and draw pictures.

Re: Eric Penrose

MagneticTrap,

I think you've been warned previously about fearmongering in other peoples threads. If you don't have anything constructive to add to a thread then don't post.

Stephen,

I've read through those tables, and I don't see any cause for concern.

Re: Several biggest errors of particle physicists.

So that model completely ignores everything we already know about physics, up to and including the fact that there are three generations of quarks. Ivan: Initially your claims were interesting, but seemed outrageously unlikely and you refused to provide any meaningful proof. Now you're grasping at a...

Good on you CQ :)
It can take quite a bit to face up to your fears, and you seem to have turned yourself completely about and embraced this as an interest.

I'm glad it's all more :) than :scared-yipes:

Re: Several biggest errors of particle physicists.

Since the standard model of particle physics is more than a little obsolete according to none other than Gorelik himself, it would be fun to see how he manages to link neutrino flux to his ground breaking mBH's theory...
Or indeed link any of his "science" to the rest of the real world

Re: Several biggest errors of particle physicists.

Some colorful circles or graphs with no explanations, units or whatsoever mean absolutely nothing. Ok, your model is better than the old one? Justify! Give us observations and experiments that have proven with good statistical significance that the old model is wrong. I can write some funny formula...
