So...I'm still confused about inverse xxbarns.

If smaller numbers mean more data, why do the numbers increase over time on these plots?

But I read an article that said...

The goal in the next year is to get to one inverse femtobarn

Femto is smaller than nano.

What are the rules for calculating with inverse xxbarns?

I am a computer engineer with lots of curiosity.

Unfortunately, my math and physics are not nearly up to the level necessary to really understand this stuff.

Still...I try to learn what I can.
