I have to say it sounds like a reasonably quick recovery given the complexity of the machine. I just returned from Peru where it can take twice as long to get a meal at a restaurant.

Your right, it's good information for those that don't know, and this is a great place to learn it! MORE FREE KNOWLEDGE!!!!You never know - some people think the LHC has electrons and antiprotons, never mind knowing what Hydrogen is!

Does anyone have an understanding of how the proton source works? I've seen pictures of hydrogen bottles on the linacs listed as the proton source, but I don't see how they extract the protons from the hydrogen.
