Not sure which long-term schedule you're looking at, but Run 3 has been scheduled to start in 2021 since at least 2015

The ULO
For those unaware, ever since the start of Run 2 there has been an object lying on the bottom of the beam pipe in sector 81. It was detected in aperture scans and nicknamed the "Unidentified Lying Object" (ULO). There was some discussion here when it was first detected: http://www.lhcportal.com/Foru...

35c3 talk: "Conquering Large Numbers at the LHC"
ATLAS physicists talk about data acquisition, processing and analysis to an audience of non-physicists. Much of what they say applies to other collider experiments, too.

Re: LS2 and looking ahead to Run 3
First night of LS2, violent thunderstorm caused extensive power cuts. The fire brigade had a busy night.

Re: 2018 Operation
That's it. With the beam dump just now, we are done with Stable Beams for Run 2. Now we have some MDs overnight and Run 2 will be completely over at 6am.

Re: you know the RHIC
I believe the absolute maximum beam energy is 255 Z GeV where Z is charge of the ion (atomic number for fully ionised nuclei). "Full energy" is 100 GeV per nucleon, but bear in mind Z/A < 1/2 for almost all nuclides.

Re: 2018 Operation
For Run1+Run2
187 /fb for ATLAS
192 /fb for CMS
10 /fb for LHCb
The page shows a buggy number for ALICE unfortunately

(remember to filter by proton-proton and stable beams)
