Re: Where's the link to LHC morning meeting documentation?
All the service desk was able to tell me was viewing rights were now limited to full CERN ID's and my e-logon rights could not be extended. They indicated that they might be able to provide a department name or two if i wanted to plead my case however, we closed the ticket as i did not want to push ...

Re: Where's the link to LHC morning meeting documentation?
I have e-logbook access but found myself now blocked from the morning meeting slides. I open a CERN service desk ticket requesting my e-logbook access (logon id) be extended to include the morning slides. Answer was: Morning meeting slides are now only available to full CERN ID's and access was not ...

Please add my name to the CERN convention list as both myself and my wife (a chemist and electro-mechanical designer) are very interested.

Re: Higgs could be found before Christmas!
Sir Chelle, (or Lord, Duke, etc.) My twin brother and I do have the exact same name; it was given to us by our birth mother for protection. Please let me explain ... In 1652 (and for most of the previous few centuries) Italy was in a turmoil; each member of the family trying to get to the head of th...

Re: Higgs could be found before Christmas!
What follows, for myself, my attached thumbprint, and my twin Renaissance Faire Avatars - is now honestly expressed in my best caricature: Lady Charmed Quark, Good morrow, and with all humble apologies, allow me to say that it was not my intention to bring any displeasure to yourself or to cast disp...

Re: Higgs could be found before Christmas!
While your intentions are most honorable, I think, in my humble opinion, that your punctuation is not quite correct. As I see the world (at the Quantum level) the statement should read: “Good times! Maybe?” For I am still not sure that the Higgs is really there. And should my last statement be wrong...

Re: Where can I see the injection emittance?
Some “emittance” information is displayed on the “Wire Scan Application” snapshot that is frequently posted in the “Operations Log”. Access to the “Operations Log” requires a CERN Log On Id.

Re: 2011 Events Discussion
The following is from the ops e-log; appears to be a facility wide power hit ... During the power cut network was switched partly to the Swiss network. TI is organising electricians to re-establish normal network configuration. LHC 18 kV loop was lost. We will only start to reset the machine as soon...
